Construction on Lowe’s Home Improvement Center Of Kings Plaza Underway

This sign pretty much says it all!

Construction!

The Home Depot looks sad. I’m still not sure what the point of building a Lowe’s right next to Home Depot is, and I’m sure one of them won’t be able to stay in business, and considering the Lowe’s is going to be new and, according to construction workers at the site be larger than The Home Depot, It’s probably going to be The Home Depot.

Again, for more information about the Lowe’s of Kings Plaza project call 1516-921-7100. If all goes according to plan, we should be able to see brand new Lowe’s on February 01, 2010. You may find a story similar to this on gerritsenbeach.net, but without such great pictures.

Hmmm. I wonder where the loading docks will be. Your local political representatives spent a great amount of time (over a decade) and energy to have the whole waterfront rezoned residential to encourage the building of single family dwelling communities, like the wonderful Bay Front Estates at Mill Basin. But, if there are loading docks providing lots of noise all day and all night, it will be tough to sell. Someone needs to bring this point up and find out what the plan is.

Well since it’s sandwiched between a home depot and an enormous mall I can’t imagine it would make that much of a difference.
